Could you give me some idea of pricing as I need to start looking at how much this is going to cost, have started getting quotes, but would obviously rather stick with you on this as you will be looking after it, doing the SEO and hosting it, like everyone we will still have strict budgets to work with I am afraid.

Anyway no immediate hurry, but if you could get me some idea of pricing for hosting, complete design, writing unique content, seo and ongoing costs etc etc so we can get an idea of what we are looking at.

As you know we produce some quality sites and as such wouldn’t like to cut corners and do ‘cheap and nasty but think that whatever price we arrange it will be very competitive and know you would get much more value for money out of us than other website designers and hope that you decide to use us instead of going elsewhere.

Would emphasise the need for a holistic approach to this for you and the need to ensure the site looks great and is highly usable and the navigation/accessibility is spot on along with the promotion and SEO of the site.

Would much prefer us to do everything from the beginning to ensure all the site is W3C compliant and is very search engine friendly and the text meets all the requirements for the search engines and is 100% relevant and unique and passes the checks required to be in the appropriate flesch / Kincaid readability zone.

Content would be written by two professionals (one English teacher and one office services company) the text would be unique/relevant / error-free / included important keywords and search terms relating to the page/topic) the text would also meet Google / Search Engine standards for readability (readability metrics taken) each page will be complemented with relevant images and diagrams where appropriate.

Do you need the transfer code (EPP / IPS Tag) key/code to operate/take over my website? Once you have the okay from me what is the first step? Obviously, I need access to me emails.

Yes we will need to gain access of the domain from your previous provider or Web Registration Company. This will be the final stage of the project, as until you are 100% happy with the design and build, we will not put the project on your domain name. Instead, we build the project on a test server, so that nothing is launched until it is perfect.

Gaining control over your domain can be done straight away or it can be done last so that you suffer minimal downtime on the website. Otherwise, users will land on an “under construction” page, which will do you much more harm than keeping your old site live.

Your email will work until the last moment when we switch the site over to the new site, and then we will provide you with new email login details so that you can manage your emails once we host your website.

I am happy to go ahead with your suggestions and attempt to better my website to obtains visits. I am not worried about getting to number one on Google all i want to achieve at the moment is a level where i can see visits to my site being made. once i get to this point i can then think about maybe taking it further.

Some history about my website, the company who originally set up my site did me no favours by contacting me to inform me that I should do things to my site to obtain visits as barriers had moved etc so I decided to leave them and go elsewhere. on the advice of a colleague, I went to another website design company that has the site at the moment. But after a week I still do not know what they intend to do and all answers are very technical and confusing and this is why I decided to look up a web design company myself. You have clearly outlined what you will do and what i need to do and this is all I wanted. As I have mentioned computers are not my thing so i will need some guidance here and there. If this is all acceptable to you please confirm so we can get things moving.
