Client asked about a CMS (content management System) for their website today, even though its easy and quick (cheap) to do its not always needed for every client and in this client’s case they were better off letting us continue to do the small amount of changes they would need in a normal year, client asked: Can you please remind me the cost of making my website totally CMS?

Regarding CMS, you have a few options here but I will say that very few of your changes are pure text changes and nearly all involve the ‘framework’ or graphics to be changed which is a bit more complex and something you normally wouldn’t attempt yourself.
Option 1. If you want full website control over all the text on every page then that can be done for about £250 and will take 3 days, your page layouts are now quite varied and would take time to integrate into any CMS system.
Option 2. If you give us a list of the pages you will actually want to change regularly then we can put them under an easy to use CMS with an online menu system that we can do for about £50 for 10 pages.
Option 3. We can continue to do your updates for you but looking back at your changes very very few are purely ‘change existing text’ changes. These simple cut and paste changes take us a few minutes each only. Traditionally your changes are a combination of new pages, new images, changes to headings (which are images) and text updates that need changes to the page framework to accommodate them.
Hope that clear and happy to chat about these options
