Ecommerce websites are invariably more complex / time consuming to build / setup / configure and manage, here is some example questions we can ask an ecommerce website owners when we have been chosen to build their website:

I’m happy to confirm we’ve now got you all setup on the system and ready to start populating your new website.

Here’s a checklist of requirements needed before your site can go live:

Have you provided your chosen domain to us or notified us if you require us to purchase you a new .co.uk domain?
Have you selected all your product categories?
Do you have a spreadsheet of all your products showing their category, title, description, price and images?
Site settings data completed?
Customer Service email added and email notifications selected (new, processing, completed & cancelled)?
Have you provided everything to payment provider which they require to setup your account?
You may need to contact payment provider to begin the setup process. They will be able to advise on how to obtain your e-commerce merchant ID which is required to complete the setup.
Sage Pay Account data added to your CMS?
Company / Store logo uploaded?
Website Theme selected?
Banners activated and links added? (latest banners will be available in the CMS on the dashboard).
My stores information updated – main store & delivery store selected and delivery radius specified?
Deactivation of any products you don’t wish to sell on your new site (if applicable)?
Custom products added (if applicable)?
Prices modified for products (if applicable)?
Services added to products?
Delivery Fee specified?
Google Analytics UA tracking code inputted in Site Settings (if applicable)? If you require us to help set this up for you please let us know.
Please supply your Google Analytics login or if this is not possible please advise and we can send further instructions. This is required in order to setup required API keys to ensure certain areas of the website / CMS function fully.

Once you’ve completed the above you need to provide us with an email confirmation to say you’re happy to proceed and go live.

We’ll then carry out any final testing and checks required before pushing your site live and sending you details on repointing your domain.

I’ve also attached some documentation to help with setting up your mega menu and product filters.
