Make sure you have a unique / relevant meta description on each post
If you have a blog you need to create page descriptions for each blog post. Need page ‘descriptions’ for each of your news posts. The descriptions are the bits you see in Google searches under the page name and link (in black text) – each should be about 100-156 characters each. After completing a few I would expect you to spend 2 minutes reading each post then 2 minutes quickly typing the description – Its good to put a bit of sense of humour / fun into these descriptions.
Once logged in to your Admin panel on WordPress and assuming you have the appropriate SEO plugin
Click on ‘posts’
Click on ‘all posts’
You then see all the pages (posts) the meta desc is shown on the right and the blank ones are the ones you need to create and enter
Click ‘edit’ below post title
Quickly / briefly scan what the text is about
Enter your 2 sentences (100-150 character) in the ‘Meta Description’ box
Click ‘update’ (that will save your description)
Click ‘all posts’ to go back to your list
You will see ‘meta description’ entry in the ones that are done
