SEO Proposal
Global Website theme rewrite, to include:
Initial template creation:
Font, typeface, colour sourcing and selection
Editing of template
Testing for each web page and a random sample of three news posts
Synchronising typeface selection for content/headers/captions etc
Reviewing pages for any basic layout issues as a result of changing the theme
Correcting any basic issues
Let me know what you’d prefer me to do. My recommendation is to synchronise the theme across the whole site at this stage, because it will need to be done properly at some point. It’ll look much cleaner, but also it’ll gives you greater control over your own website because if you want to change something simple you can just go in and do it yourself, without worrying about what might go awry. Ultimately it depends on your budget and goals.
With the pages we worked on last time, I modified each element individually. It’s not the cleanest way to do it and it’s pretty long-winded, hence the higher cost for those pages vs the ones which don’t need that done separately.
I think much of the site could do with a tidy, edit and SEO spring clean, but it’s up to you which of the pages are priorities. If you’d like me to make some recommendations then let me know, otherwise I’ll await your instruction!
I agree that the Theme should be changed. It looks a lot better than before, and of course makes sense that all of the pages are the same.
I have not had any time at all to look at any other pages. But I do know that some will need improving. I’ll take a look when I get back. In the meantime, if you see any pages that are crying out for a spring clean, don’t ever hesitate in dropping me a line.
So glad you’re happy with them. It was a bit convoluted, but I didn’t want to affect your global theme without speaking to you first. It would be best to do that, I think, so the fonts don’t have to be changed manually each time. It would also mean we could optimise for mobile viewing, which is still not great.
I’ve tried to view the page, and although I did momentarily get through I’m not sure if I saw a cached view or a refreshed page. Although the testimonial seemed slightly different.
However, I’ve re-designed the pages, using all of your copy suggestions. I’ve kept all of the “feeling” that you’ve suggested, I have however swapped a couple of sentences around to meet with the same language that I meet from my customers.
If you can see any glaring errors, or if you think that the copy could be improved, please let me know. From my point of view, The pages are much better than before, so I’m happy. However, the whole site needs to be re-visited, but right now WordPress is the way to go.
I’d love to hear what you think. Let me know if I’ve upset you with the changing of words. I hope not, I’ve done them for a reason, but if you have a stronger reason for keeping your format, please let me know because I’m learning all the time! (I haven’t changed much anyhow!)
Many thanks for this.. I’ve had a quick look through all pages and I can’t see anything that’s far off the mark. I might have a few small details that I will want to chat with you about.
The way that I will work on this will be to try to create the pages that you suggest. I know that I’ll have problems with formatting because WordPress seems to be very limited in font styles. I’ve done some research and it appears that other people have the same issues. However, I’m sure that I can at least reach the consistency that you rightly suggest. It’s exactly this type of feedback that I needed.
The copy also is very good. As I said, I might have some questions that I’d like to bounce off of you. Thank you for adding us and activating the Google Analytics. We can keep an eye out to see the improvements that these changes can make.
Here’s the first draft of my edits and recommendations. Let me know if there’s anything you’re unsure about. I’m around tomorrow morning if you’d prefer to speak on the phone. If you’d like to email them through, you should be able to leave comments on the PDF.
As you say, the key area is leading people to take a clear and decisive action when they’re on the page. I’ve tried to use language which communicates in a natural, conversational way with your target customer.
Please also let me know if there are any factual errors – perhaps there’s something I’ve misunderstood about either one of your services.
