[Website Owner] I love the fact that they can sell stuff from their webssite, can you come up with something for me using their website as a guide. We are an official stockist for them and offer free local delivery but I need a way of getting orders. Is an online shop the answer or can I just have a email / phone order option?
[Delicious Webdesign] Would suggest initially for business and financial reasons that you don’t have a ecommerce system built into the existing site but perhaps have images / descriptions / costs of the products and state you can order any product on request. I suggest that if this proves popular then we can add a ecommerce system into the website where you will be able to add / control unlimited categories / products and control the customers / orders / postage etc.
I would say creating and running an ecommerce website is pretty easy with our help but there will be quite a ot of time/ thought / planning / effort / cost in the early stages to get it setup and configured correctly initially then you would need to manage stock and orders / postage yourself going forward. Getting an ecommerce site up and running is then the start of the journey and you would then be competing against lots of others so you need to consider the cost of this addition of the site, the time and effort needed to setup it up, the ongoing maintenance / running costs and time and how to promote it.
[Delicious Webdesign] What happened to your facebook page? Think its silly to unpublished it and believe it just confuses people when they search for you on fb or they try to click and look at it from your website. Your website also gives an errors as the facebook feed cant be shown
[Website Owners] I unpublished it while I’m away so I had some sort of break. I’m home Friday so it’ll be back up then.
[Website Owners] Can you have a go at creating a good page with images etc using their page as a guide?
[Delicious Webdesign] Need more than that to give us the best chance of creating something that you will like, why not give us the specific images and text you want on the page and we can edit the images to fit and work on the site. For example on their site they have an image that we have taken and edited (removed background and given a shadow) to ensure it works on your page, what do you think?
