Have you ever wondered what happens to websites from companies that go out of business? Sometimes we takeover these websites from businesses and find an owner for it (which is easier said than done!) Recently we arranged for a sale and the following information covered the sale of this website.
We agree the sale of a business brochure website to a business in the same sector for almost a third of its original price, this price is included the domain name transfer and website hosting (for one year) and all required email accounts with setup information, plus all the changes onsite required to make it personalised and 100% tailored to the new company. We request that the website is enhanced by adding new photos and testimonials as all the existing photos and testimonials will be removed as they are personal to the existing company.
The website is live and attracting visitor and enquiries and there are a regular stream of enquires received by email per month (have removed the phone number on the site so there is no record of phone enquiries)
As part of the website sale and transfer we agreed to complete all the tasks mentioned below and will allow the new company to take ownership of the site immediately.
The website is ranked highly for some competitive search terms and gets lots of website visitors that make inquiries via phone and email. This is a good confirmation that not only is the site ranked well but it ranks well for terms that convert and the site has a clear conversion path (from browsing to enquiry form)
As part of the transfer we would agree to:
Change the address and telephone details
Update the photo galleries and main banner photos
We will also add you a Google Local listing (map listing) and put it on your site, then update the Google Local Business Section to ensure your website features in local searches.
Setup email account then give you setup and passwords for email account
Transfer ownership over to you (via our hosting account)
Update any text as required on any of the 25 pages (Testimonials needs text as there is just filler text in there at the moment)
Give you access to previous website stats and send you weekly / monthly stats reports.
The website has 20 pages that were created by a copywriter and can be updated / changed / tweaked to more closely reflect your current business
The terms of this transfer and sale include:
Keeping our website links at the footer of the site
Hosting with us (only £45 per year after your free period is up)
Using Delicious Webdesign for your website updates after your initial updates are completed (as part of our website support process – for all website updates we are quick and cheap!)
Once the sale and transfer of the website are agreed we could complete the above work in 4-5 days.
