Current projects we are considering include:
1, A client who is currently looking for an experienced website developer/ designer. They want a complete rebuild of their existing website along the lines of Prestashop, Magento or Tomato Cart. Due to the sheer number of products they sell they will require a very complicated backend system and database. This will be so they can keep track of stock control, products, mail orders, wholesale purchases amongst other things. So this will be quite a complex requirement and experience with other wholesalers would be an advantage.
The client would like an introduction in the first instance to see your services, experience, capabilities, portfolio, designs etc They are happy to discuss further once this has been sent.
2, The client offers a customized hamper service and is looking for assistance with re-designing their existing website.
They are looking for someone to develop their website further as they only have a very basic knowledge of web design. They are currently using a Joomla template for their website and would like to add a few extras to give it a more professional image and make it more user friendly. They have a ‘build your own hamper’ facility on the site which allows customers to tailor their hamper but the format is pretty basic at the moment and not very user friendly. They would like a facility where the site is able to calculate how much or how little room is left in the basket they have selected according to what products they have chosen. There is an example of this on this Hampers website [example site given]. Just click on build your own hamper and it will take you through the process. They would like to achieve something similar to this. They would also like to add some rotating images and just bring the site alive a little.

3, Our current system is designed around a public facing website, and was not designed with the volumes of data we need to process and display in mind. The interface is also the same for each different type of user, simply with additional features added or removed depending on the permissions of the user. The company has also recently undergone a rebranding exercise which is currently being rolled out, which would need to be taken into consideration. The project is a world beating project, which currently deals with 1 billion new pieces of data each day, and counting. We are looking for either: A web designer and User Experience designer working in partnership, or An individual or company who can offer both as well as providing balanced opinion on both aspects. The successful individuals, partnership or company would then work with us to: Design and develop suitable designs and layouts which are appropriate for the needs of the particular user roles accessing the system, at a minimum this would include:
- Management / Administration
- Engineering
- Service
- End of Line
- Co-branded Customer Interface
Streamline, through User Experience work, the processes and tasks users routinely undertake on the system, including:
Generating reports and comparing and contrasting performance data for a particular truck, a particular fleet, or a range of trucks, fleets or customers. This would include highlighting metrics, and the ability to visualise the data reported against and in comparison with historical data. Tracking live progress and data of trucks o Adding new trucks to the system, tracking the progress of events and other business processes which involve interaction with the system. Suitably display data, statistics, and indicators. Improve the display of charts, graphs and route maps The client advised that due to the commercially sensitve nature of the system and the project a face to face meeting will need to be arranged before submitting quotes. This is so their existing systems can be seen by the design agency. The client hasnt specified a budget as they would like to discuss this personally due to the scope of the project.
